Principles
sico is a solo product studio. We build narrow tools that each do one job well, for people who are tired of bloated software that locks them in. These are the commitments behind that — plain, public, and applied to every product we ship.
One job, done well
Every product is narrow by design — one problem, solved properly. No bundles, no feature sprawl, no all-in-one that does ten things badly.
No lock-in, ever
Your data is yours. Every product has one-click export, and month-to-month billing is always available. You can leave whenever you like and take everything with you.
Honest pricing
The price you see is the price — no hidden add-ons, no surprise "platform fees". We won't charge loyal customers more than new ones for the same thing, and if we ever raise a price, we tell you first.
Easy to leave
You can cancel in the app, in one click — as easily as you signed up. No phone calls, no retention mazes. We might ask why (optional, and only after you've cancelled) so we can fix what's missing — and if you'd like, we'll let you know when we ship it.
We never hold your money
Where a product touches funds — reclaiming Gift Aid, reconciling income — the money flows directly between you and your own bank, processor, or HMRC. We read and file; we never take custody of your cash.
Least-privilege access
We ask for the minimum access we need, and read-only wherever possible. When we only need to read your data, we never ask for permission to change it.
Privacy and compliance, first-class
We self-host on owned hardware, build GDPR and data deletion in from day one, and pool patterns, not people. See our privacy notice and data-deletion policy.
Honest marketing
We compare on verifiable facts, not spin. We don't denigrate other products, we don't use a competitor's name to confuse you, and we don't use dark patterns to push you into anything.
We build what you actually need
Tell us what's missing. Real usage and honest cancellation feedback shape the roadmap — not vanity metrics — and when we ship something you asked for, we'll tell you (only if you asked us to).
These are living commitments. Think we've fallen short on one? Tell us — we'll fix it or explain.
